Ishmael's Blog
Hello, I hope this is just the beginning of many conversations that
participants in The Healing Project will share. The blog is here so
we can share our healing stories and challenges. The Project, as
we’ve come to call this, really is an experiment, a project in
self-empowerment. We feel the time has come to SEE health and
well-being in a new, exciting way.
Many of you, like myself, have tried a variety of alternative health
options over the years. Some of you have more clarity about homeopathy
and Ayurvedic medicine than others. It doesn’t matter how much you
know (or think you know) right now. The only criteria for
participating in The Healing Project is a willingness to learn, the
ability to be open-minded about these ancient methods, and most
importantly, the desire for self-empowerment when it comes to your
health.
The Project consists of many parts -- a library of materials
(articles and videos) that help clarify our philosophy about healing
and well-being. The man we call “Baba” has over forty years of
experience with the ancient healing sciences of homeopathy, Ayurveda
and other subtle energy systems. He doesn’t call himself Baba, I
started calling him that out of respect for his vast knowledge and
remarkable (near miraculous) ability to heal people. He really
doesn’t want the Project to be about him, in fact, he doesn’t
think it’s important for people to know much of anything about him.
He wants the Project to be about YOU. He wants you to become the
Master of your own health – your own Baba, not a follower of him or
other “white coats” as he has called some of the erudite doctors
who want to hook you into dependency on them, medications and
procedures that may not be necessary.
We’re not here to pick a fight or alienate you from any medical
system that works for you, but that is the key – finding a system
that really does WORK.
I was fortunate to have found an Osteopathic physician twenty- five
years ago. Osteopaths have a holistic perspective on the practice of
medicine based on a belief in treating the "whole patient"
(mind-body-spirit.) My D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy) was open to
alternative healing methods, such as homeopathy and acupuncture. That
was essential to me because I have never been able to tolerate
antibiotics, antihistamines, Codeine Sulfate or any of the newer
hydrocodone or oxycodone pain medications. I had violent allergic
reactions from the time I was very young, that grew worse during my
teen years and ultimately resulted in two episodes of anaphylactic
shock in my early 20s. It was the result of nearly dying from those
drug reactions, that I found my Osteopathic doctor and together we
found ways of keeping me healthy without pharmaceuticals.
Homeopathy was one of those ways. My D.O. knew just enough about
homeopathy to treat my sinus infections, but it wasn’t his area of
expertise. Around that same time I discovered that the man I knew as
an early computer pioneer (Baba) also knew a LOT about homeopathy. He
knows even more now.
I’m not here to go on and on about my health – I simply want to
make this one point. I was forced to rely on homeopathy and other
alternative health therapies to stay alive. I have taken NO
antibiotics or other prescription drugs all these years (not even
during a major surgery) and I am healthier than most of my friends of
“a certain age.” I am an American woman, in my 50s, my weight and
BMI are in range, I have low blood pressure and can easily breathe
through my nose (something I could not do years ago when I smoked and
suffered from endless sinus problems.)
We are extremely fortunate to have someone with the knowledge and
contacts that “Baba” has. He has many resources in other fields
(Chinese medicine, hyperbaric chambers, herbal and native medicines)
along with his own vast knowledge of both homeopathy and Ayurveda.
(And, don’t worry if you don’t really understand either of these,
if you are willing, you will learn a lot.)
So, as I love to ask: Are you ready to heal yourself, or do you need
to suffer a bit more?
If you are ready for some amazing tools that will change your life,
then welcome to our Healing Project!
